ProDefense traces its origins back to the renowned DevilSec club at Arizona State University (ASU), where a group of passionate individuals excelled in cybersecurity, achieving the rank of #1 in the world through their dedication and participation in Hack The Box competitions. Motivated to make a real-world impact, they branched out and established ProDefense, a consulting company focused on helping organizations strengthen their security presence. Rooted in the culture of excellence nurtured by DevilSec, ProDefense combines extensive knowledge, practical experience, and innovative techniques to collaborate closely with clients, identify vulnerabilities, develop tailored security strategies, and deliver top-notch cybersecurity consulting services.
Our journey began within the vibrant halls of DevilSec, where our passion for cybersecurity and pentesting was ignited. The club, established in 2019, quickly gained traction, attracting a diverse community of students eager to delve into the world of cybersecurity. Within a short span of time, DevilSec blossomed into a thriving hub, boasting a membership of several hundred students. DevilSec’s influence extended far beyond the boundaries of our university campus. We regularly hosted distinguished guest speakers from industry-leading companies, ensuring our members received invaluable insights and exposure to real-world expertise. As a result, our talented pentesters flourished and quickly garnered attention from renowned organizations. The success of DevilSec members spoke volumes about the club’s impact. Many of our talented individuals were recruited by prestigious companies such as Bishop Fox, Mandiant, Google, and Facebook. Their accomplishments and achievements validated DevilSec’s commitment to nurturing exceptional talent in the field of cybersecurity. However, our ambitions did not end there. The members of DevilSec aspired to make a broader impact, leveraging their expertise to assist organizations in strengthening their security postures. This led to the birth of ProDefense, a natural extension of the excellence and dedication ingrained within the club.
